Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is currently in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, for the South-West Governors Forum meeting holding Monday afternoon to tackle pressing issues affecting the region, including agriculture, regional cooperation and integration, food security, economic growth, and security of lives and property.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, who is to chaired the meeting to be hosted by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, in his Office, at Agodi, Ibadan, arrived at 12:50pm and was received by the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal.
The meeting, convened by the South West Governors’ Forum, will focus on strengthening security measures to protect lives and property in the South West, as well as exploring opportunities for collaboration and investment to drive economic growth and development in the region.
According to a statement made available to newsmen, the meeting, which started at 2:15pm is attended by Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Ademola Adeleke (Osun), who was represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi.
The South-West Governors Forum meeting is a follow-up to a similar gathering held in Lagos on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
