Yuletide: Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol Price to N699

By Our Reporter

Dangote Refinery has announced reduction of its ex-depot petrol price to N699 per litre, down from N828, in a move aimed at boosting competitiveness ahead of the festive season.

This was just as the refinery assured that there’ll be no queues, but stable fuel supply ahead of Christmas.

Data from Petroleumpriceng on Friday showed the N129 reduction — a 15.58% drop — took effect on Thursday, December 11, 2025, marking the refinery’s 20th price review this year.

The adjustment comes as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and other marketers have also reduced pump prices twice in the last three weeks, with retail rates in Abuja now between N915 and N937 per litre.

Senior officials at Dangote Refinery said the latest cut was intended to ease transportation costs for millions of Nigerians traveling during the Christmas season.

The company said the review reflected its commitment to reducing cost pressures on transport operators and making the festive period more affordable for Nigerians.
