The Ogun State caucus of the National Forum of Former Legislators (NFFL) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election as president in the forthcoming 2027 General Elections, citing his dexterity in addressing the multi-faceted national challenges confronting the country.

The Ogun State chapter of NFFL arrived at this decision, following its resolutions during its National Summit, which held at NAF Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja, on Saturday, where it also declared its unalloyed support for Tinubu’s re-election ambition.

The Forum, while throwing support for Tinubu, further cited his administration's great economic strides and results yielding tactics of tackling insecurity as reasons, noting that the president deserved its commendation and re-affirmation of confidence in his capabilities.

NFFL in a statement by its Coordinator, Hon. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun, similarly endorsed the Senator representing Ogun West, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly know as Yayi, for governor and declared members’ strong support for him ahead of the 2027 governorship race in Ogun State.

The Forum cited Senator Adeola's statewide development initiatives, rich political antecedents, vast legislative experience and welfarism as reasons for the support, calling on him "to publicly declare his governorship ambition to enable us and other well wishers begin a massive mobilisation drive for him."

"The Ogun State caucus of the National Forum of Former Legislators hereby declare absolute support for and commitment to the governorship aspiration of the current Ogun West Senator and do hereby call on him to publicly declare his governorship ambition to enable us and other well wishers begin a massive mobilisation drive for him," NFFL said.

The Forum saluted governor Dapo Abiodun and the elder statesman and former Governor Olusegun Osoba for their relentless efforts at steering the political course and progressivity in the state.
