Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, has announced, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, as the new Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas.
Governor Makinde made the pronouncement at a brief event held at the House of Chiefs, Agodi, Ibadan on Thursday.
He, however, stated that the chairmanship would be on rotational basis among the Olubadan, Alaafin of Oyo and Soun of Ogbomoso-land with a period of two years each.
Meanwhile, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, was not present at the event.
