Notion That Seyi Makinde, Bala Mohammed Are Defecting To ADC Is The Malicious Rumor Of Well Known Political Bandits!

Most likely, many discerning readers will suspect that since this rumor is being peddled by Peter Fayose and Nyesom Wike; two notorious advocates of One-Party State, opponents of multi - Party Democracy, and self - declared enemies of the Peoples Democratic Party, it is likely to be fallacious mischief making. 

The truth of the matter is that its intention is to harm and to damage. By claiming that Makinde and Bala have abandoned the PDP, they want to discredit these two leaders, and create discord and distrust within the PDP political family. 

Keep in mind that from the PDP's successful National Convention of November 15/16 2025 in Ibadan, Governors Makinde and Mohammed emerged as front line leaders of a resurgent Peoples Democratic Party. The attempt by Wike and Fayose to detach them from the PDP is another permutation of their unholy plan to ensure that the PDP does not field a candidate for President in the 2027 election. Nyesom Wike, Peter Fayose and their paymaster, Bola Ahmed Tinubu know that a Makinde/Bala Presidential Ticket will be unbeatable in 2027! 

Also consider the utter senselessness of the rumor. Why would Makinde and Bala who may likely become President and Vice- Presidential candidates in PDP decamp to ADC where even the most uninformed observer can see that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi are obvious front runners for the ADC presidential ticket? 

To paraphrase Wike, the drama king himself; for Governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed to leave PDP for ADC would be tantamount to trading a mild case of malaria for an acute case of cancer; a choice to commit political suicide.

These types of attacks from adversaries of the PDP, be they disgruntled former PDP members like Wike and Fayose, or unknown ADC propagandists should be seen for what they are; the lamentations of frustrated enemies of progress who realize that Nigerians are ready for a change from the Buhari - Tinubu years of disastrous governance. They are political mercenaries who are afraid that they may be unable to stop whoever emerges as the PDP presidential candidate from becoming the President of Nigeria in 2027!
