Governorship Aspirant for the 2027 poll on the platform of Lagos State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran JANDOR, has extended warm greetings to Muslim and Christian faithful across state as the holy month of Ramadan begins and Christians observe Ash Wednesday, marking the commencement of the Lenten season.
Dr. Adediran describes the period as a unique moment of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and renewed devotion to God, noting that both observances emphasized values of humility, compassion, discipline, and service to humanity.
The APC chieftain said this in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, copy of which was made available to newsmen on Wednesday, urging Lagosians to use the sacred season to pray for peace, unity, and progress in the state, while encouraging acts of charity, tolerance, and mutual respect among people of all faiths.
"These solemn seasons remind us of our shared responsibility to build a more caring, just, and inclusive society. As we fast, pray, and reflect, let us recommit ourselves to the collective good and the vision of a continued prosperous and progressive Lagos for all," he said.
JANDOR wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Ramadan and prayed that the Lenten season would bring renewal and divine guidance to Christians across the state.
