I Trust Judiciary'll Resolve PDP Crisis - Makinde

Oyo State Governor, Engr 'Seyi Makinde, has expressed his belief in the Judiciary, assuring that the crisis currently plaguing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be resolved by the Judiciary.

Governor Makinde gave this position during the opening of the New Oyo State PDP Secretariat at Molete, Ibadan, which held on Tuesday, and named after the State Chairman, Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha, that led the party to victory in 2019.

The governor, while noting that many members and leaders were equally concerned about the current state of the party, further assured that with a proverb that no matter how long lies flourished, truth would catch up with it one day.

"If liars continue to lie for twenty years, the day the truth comes out, that is the end of the lies.

"I have absolute trust in the Judiciary. I know the Judiciary will do the needful. So all these court cases will come together at some point and the Judiciary being the last hope of the common man will give justice to PDP," he said.

Makinde described those causing problems in PDP as "Vagabonds" who he said grew up in 2015 and had their time for a decade, affirming that they had been expelled in November 2025.

"No more Vagabonds’ in PDP”, Makinde said, adding that whatever those people were doing now should be traced back to their origin.
