In a moment of divine fulfillment and historical significance, the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa, Oba (Dr.) Michael Adeyobiojo Odunayo Adeagbo Ajayi, the Arowotawaya II, has been ordained as a Senior Special Apostle of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide.
The sacred ordination of Oba Ajayi, JPil, FIADRN, FICMN, FIIM (UK) was one of the highlights of the 85th International Conference and Convention of the Church, themed: "My Year of Great Mercy," held at Galilee Land, Orile-Igbon International Headquarters on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
The atmosphere was filled with divine presence, praises, and heartfelt gratitude as faithful from across the world gathered to witness the spiritual elevation of one of the church’s most illustrious sons.
A statement from the church said that the event was presided over by His Most Eminence, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo, JPil, FNACM, DDM, the Supreme Head (Olori) of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church Worldwide, under whose spiritual leadership, Oba Ajayi grew up with his parents in the church, which continues to thrive as a beacon of holiness, unity, and evangelism.
Alogbo praised monarch for his steadfast faith, humility, and unwavering commitment to both spiritual and humanitarian service, describing him as "a royal father with a priestly heart," whose dedication to God’s work had been evident long before his ascension to the throne of Erinmo-Ijesa.
Oba Ajayi, in his remark, shared a deeply moving reflection on his lifelong walk with God and the prophecy that shaped his destiny.
The monarch recounted how, over 50 years ago, as a young boy attending the Sabo/Oko Oba District of the church at Oyadiran Estate, Yaba, Lagos with his parents, he was nurtured in the ways of the Lord through the doctrines of the Cherubim and Seraphim.
The royal father further narrated a prophetic encounter from more than four decades ago, when he was just 14 years old, an aged prophet, told him that he saw me wearing a golden crown and a Bishop’s cap.
According to him, the revelation came at the time he could not understand how one could be both King and priest, adding: "But today, that prophecy of royal priesthood has been divinely fulfilled — both as a King and now as a Senior Special Apostle, truly, God’s words never fail."
Elerinmo, however, pledged to continue dedicating his reign to God’s glory, promoting peace and righteousness, and serving humanity through purpose-driven leadership.
"This ordination is not just a title, but a call to deeper service, to be a vessel of mercy in this generation. I will continue to uphold the banner of Christ and use every platform, royal and spiritual, to positively impact lives," the monarch said.
The statement further said that the ordination symbolizes the union of divine grace and royal authority, marking a rare and profound convergence of kingship and priesthood.
According to it, the event underscores the monarch’s calling not only to rule but also to shepherd — leading with wisdom, compassion, and spiritual integrity.
"This is especially significant as Erinmo hosts the world-acclaimed spiritual mountain Ori-Oke Agbara Emi Mimo (better known as Ori-Oke Erinmo), to which thousands of people throng daily.
"Erinmo has been recognized as the Jerusalem of Africa, attracting dignitaries worldwide. Under his reign, Erinmo-Ijesa has witnessed significant transformation marked by peace, community development, and spiritual revival.
"His Majesty has been a consistent voice for youth empowerment, moral reawakening, and interfaith harmony, embodying the timeless virtues of love, justice, and service.
"His great-grandfather was one of the most powerful kings of his time and remains the most prominent and wealthiest Elerinmo. His era witnessed extensive cultural renaissance and encouraged religious harmony, leading to the establishment of St. Peter's Anglican Church as the first church in Erinmo around 1908 during his reign.
"He was notably the first king in the area to host European visitors in Erinmo, earning the appellation 'Arowotawaya Bi Oyinbo,' a title now adopted by Oba Odunayo Ajayi, who has earnestly continued that legacy of excellence," the statement said.
"Oba Arowotawaya II has been greatly inspired by his grandparents, who were founding figures and the first Baba Ijo of the Christ Apostolic Church Oke Isegun Headquarters in Erinmo.
"They offered their home as a place of worship before the construction of the magnificent cathedral in Erinmo. The ordination ceremony attracted numerous dignitaries, clergy, and well-wishers who converged at Galilee Land to celebrate this divine elevation.
"The event was marked by worship, thanksgiving, and prophetic declarations of greater grace upon His Majesty’s life and ministry.
"Regarding the newly ordained Senior Special Apostle of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, the ordination affirms the almightiness and supremacy of God as the King of Kings, who, under His divine grace, crowned him as a traditional king and a shepherd of the flock.
"This was manifested at the 85th international conference of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church. It is an attestation to a prophecy foretold in both his maternal and paternal homes before he was born.
"As a revered cultural icon and exemplary monarch, Oba Michael Adeagbo Adeyobiojo Odunayo Ajayi is a natural king who consistently demonstrates a deep understanding of his traditional expectations and roles. He comprehends fully the importance of the stool he sits on.
"As a king, he has authored eight books and shares his vast knowledge as a speaker on several global platforms. Divinely gifted with aristocratic physiognomy, his presence is commanding, kingly, and magnificently regal. He speaks with restraint, integrity, and dignity, exuding propriety and majesty effortlessly. He is an exemplar of splendor and poise.
"Oba Elerinmo is an apotheosis of grandeur, grace, decorum, and decency. He is both baronial and regnant, operating within the confines of cultural etiquette. He radiates courtliness and worthiness seamlessly and is a true ambassador of the King of Kings in tradition and culture. His very presence is a source of pride and inspiration.
"He is a worthy representative on the throne of his ancestors, ably equipped administratively and spiritually — a true and authentic son of Kootu O Jiire, deeply committed to reverence for God, service to the people, and transformational leadership in all its forms," it added.
