The Tinubu–Ambo Support Group has, in continuation of its state-wide engagement for intensive Permanent Voter Card (PVC) sensitization and the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration campaign aimed at strengthening civic participation and party structure ahead of the 2027 General Elections, stormed the Shomolu-Bariga Federal Constituency of Lagos State.
The exercise forms part of the group’s ongoing efforts to mobilize residents across Nigeria, encouraging them to actively participate in the democratic process by registering, updating their voter information, and obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Speaking at the event, which held on Thursday, National Director General of the group, Hon. Seyi Bamigbade, highlighted the commitment of their principal and former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode's tireless efforts to deliver millions to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election at the general election.
According to him, Ambode's renewed political involvement is geared toward supporting democratic growth in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole, adding that the former governor's continuous engagement also aligned with broader efforts within the party ahead of the election cycle.
Hon. Rotimi Olowo, who addressed residents at the gathering, emphasized the importance of civic responsibility, urging the public to take advantage of initiatives such as the Tinubu-Ambo Street Captains to complete their APC e-registration and ensure they were properly documented within the ruling APC database.
The former lawmaker further reminded citizens that PVC remained a vital civic instrument, adding: "The PVC is our right as citizens, and every vote must count."
The sensitization outreach in Shomolu-Bariga marked another step in the group’s statewide mobilization efforts as political activities gradually intensified in Nigeria.
